Senior Portrait Information
Hamburg High School
**The following specifications are required of senior portraits to be printed in the 2021 yearbook. Every year there are Hamburg Seniors who submit portraits that do not meet specifications and their portraits are rejected for publication. Seniors, it is your responsibility to make sure your portraits adhere to these specifications.
**Students who are Photographed by Prestige Portraits, a division of LifeTouch, the school photographer, need not worry about these specifications since they will automatically take portraits which follow these guidelines. Portraits selected must match these specifications although other types of poses may be taken for your purchase. Prestige Portraits will automatically send the selected photograph to the yearbook staff.
**Students who opt not to use LifeTouch must submit their senior portraits to Mrs. Winters (via Google form: here) by FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2020. It is the student’s responsibility of the to be sure an appropriate photo is submitted for publication. It is not the responsibility of the studio to deliver these photos to Echoes. The yearbook staff does not notify seniors whose photos are not received.
PLEASE DO NOT PLAN TO USE A REGULAR UNDERCLASS PHOTO (taken in Phys. Ed. during the first week of school) FOR THE SENIOR SECTION OF THE YEARBOOK. THEY ARE NOT APPROPRIATELY FORMATTED FOR USE IN THE SENIOR SECTION.
We will only accept digital portraits from qualified photographers. Image must be a .jpg file with a minimum of 640x800 pixels and 300 dpi. Image name should be in Last name, First name, format to avoid omitted photos and misspellings.
1. Head and Shoulder appearance: We will accept ONLY head & shoulder forward-facing, freestanding shots. Waist up or Full body shots will not be accepted. Photos with a student leaning into a prop (such as a wall) will not be accepted. Hands are not permitted. Hats/bandanas, etc. are not permitted. No props in photos.
2. Background must be a traditional portrait background. Outdoor backgrounds are acceptable IF no distracting elements (doors, brick walls, vehicles, etc) are in the background.
3. Clothing: Please adhere to the school dress code.

IN NOVEMBER , PHOTOS RECEIVED WILL BE POSTED OUTSIDE THE YEARBOOK ROOM (215) FOR STUDENT VERIFICATION. THE YEARBOOK STAFF WILL NOT RESPOND TO INDIVIDUAL EMAILS ABOUT RECEIPT OF PORTRAITS UNTIL THAT TIME.
