I am very excited to be starting my eleventh year of teaching at Crocker Middle School. This year I will be teaching 7th grade World History, 8th Grade U.S. History, and Flex.
Background Info: I grew up in San Carlos, California and have been a fan of Bay Area sports my entire life. For undergrad I attended UC Santa Barbara, a lovely school located right next to the ocean. I studied History and one of my favorite classes was the History of Surfing. While at UCSB I worked at the campus radio station, KCSB FM 91.9, where I produced a weekly two hour blues/R&B/soul show. From 2012-2013 I attended Stanford University where I obtained my Masters and credential in Social Science.
Hobbies/Interests: In my free time I love to be active. I play in a soccer league every Wednesday night, swim and run. When I'm not playing sports, I enjoy gardening, cooking and black and white photography. I love to read, listen to vinyl records and spend time with family and friends.
In August of 2016, we adopted two dogs Muddy, a rambunctious pup who loves to give kisses and Hazel, a border collie mix who loves classical music and food, especially pizza. One of my favorite activities of the summer was running Muddy every morning! Hazel prefers to go on leisurely strolls. A few years ago we did the doggy DNA test to find out what breeds our crazy dogs are. See the results below.

Last December 1st, my son Devereux was born! Over the summer I enjoyed spending time with him going on walks, doing swim lessons and playing at the beach in Santa Barbara. In June we took Devereux on his first camping trip to the Redwoods.
