Scholarship Information for Seniors
Lists will be available in the Guidance Office and on this Guidance webpage.
Seniors should check the list on a regular basis.
There are instructions for each scholarship and most will be returned to Mrs. Holden. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE DEADLINES LISTED ON THE SCHOLARSHIP LIST! Applications often need to be processed before being submitted to the sponsoring organization. Applications received after the stated deadline may not be eligible for consideration.
Below are some suggestions to remember when completing scholarship applications:
1) BE NEAT AND COMPLETE! Nothing hurts an application more than sloppy handwriting or missing pieces.
2) Proofread your final product and have someone else proofread it as well.
3) Type/word process applications whenever possible; if applications must be handwritten use black pen (same color throughout).
4) When asking others for letters of recommendation, give teachers, employers, coaches, etc. plenty of time to meet the deadline (approximately 2 weeks ahead). Give them a copy of a completed Request for Letter of Recommendation form.
5) Keep a copy of all application materials in a personal file.
