Hoover High School has two competitive dance teams as part of the Hoover Buccaneer Marching Band: the Varsity Buccanettes and the Junior Varsity Buccanettes. Our dance teams perform with the marching band at all Varsity Home football games, JV & Freshman home football games, pep rallies, and boys and girls freshman, JV, and Varsity basketball games. The Buccanettes have competed locally and nationally with National Dance Alliance, Dance Team Union, Universal Dance Association, and American All-Star. The Varsity Buccanettes are coached by Alicia Wilbanks and the Junior Varsity Buccanettes are coached by Jennifer Williams, under the direction of Ryan Fitchpatrick (Band Director). 

Auditions for both teams occur in the spring for the following school year.
