CAMP KESEM -- SUPPORTING CHILDREN AFFECTED BY A PARENT’S CANCER
Camp Kesem is a free resource supporting children impacted by a parent’s cancer. We offer a week-long summer camp, biannual reunions, cabin chats, and other individualized support to 6-18-year-olds. This year, our camp will take place at Camp Airy in Cascade, MD from August 21-26, 2022.
As a national organization, Camp Kesem has over 20 years of experience delivering programs that have a genuine impact on children and families. We are in our 4th year at the University of Maryland chapter, and this past year, we supported over 55 children from the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia areas. Our programs build communities of support, fun, love, and respect, bonding children together through shared experiences. We’re equitable and work with families to ensure they have everything they need to participate in programming.
