Transcript Requests
HCPSS Graduates
HCPSS is now using ScribOrder to fulfill all transcript, diploma requests for previous graduates, as well as graduation and diploma verifications.
Requests, verifications, and secure payments are all managed by ScribOrder. Request progress can be tracked after creating your ScribOrder account.

Welcome to Marriotts Ridge High School! We are pleased to have you as part of the Mustang family. In hopes of making your transition to MRHS as smooth as possible, we encourage you review the HCPSS flyer about Canvas. Parents and students have access to the Canvas Learning System, which includes the grade book (assignments and assignment scores).
Registrations are a multistep process, including online registration. Please visit www.hcpss.org/enroll to begin the registration process.

Academic Eligibility
For high school, a full-time student earns academic eligibility to participate in extracurricular activities by maintaining a 2.0 grade-point average (GPA), calculated using credit or non-credit courses, with no more than one failing grade for the marking period which governs eligibility for that activity (Policy 9070 - Academic Eligibility for High School Extra Curricular Activities).
Fall sport eligibility – For incoming 9th grade students, all students are eligible for fall athletics. For all returning students, eligibility is determined by the final marking period grades of the preceding June.
Winter sport eligibility – Determined by the grades earned on the closest report card issued prior to November 15.
Spring sport eligibility – Determined by the grades earned on the closest report card issued prior to March 1.
Non-athletic activities are determined by the grades earned on the closest report card to the date of the clubs initial activity.

Students are expected to attend school. However, when students are unable to attend school, please email an absence note to:
Please reference the HCPSS Policy 9010 - Attendance for clarification between lawful (excused) and unlawful (unexcused) absences. If a student is lawfully absent beyond 5 school days, a doctor's note must be provided. Upon a student's return from an excused absence, the student has the same number of school days absent to make up their work for full credit..
Note: Students are allotted up to 3 Local Discretion Days each school year for reasons such as travel, college visits, internship/scholarship interviews, etc, all of which would otherwise be unlawful. Please complete the HCPSS Local Discretionary Absence/Request Form for such absences.
It is recommended that any student taking an AP course take the corresponding AP exam in May 2025. For early planning, families can access the AP exam window through the CollegeBoard website linked here.
Students have until 11/11/2024 to sign up for AP exams. From 11/11/2024 - 3/11/2025 students may sign up but there will be a late fee of $40.

The following students will not have to pay for AP exams this year:

and submit if you meet the eligibility criteria.
The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future law also requires students who meet the Maryland State Department of Education College and Career Readiness (CCR) standard in both English and mathematics to have free access to AP testing. The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future requires HCPSS to cover the cost of exams if all of the following are met:
1. You are in 11th or 12th grade
2. You are currently enrolled in the assessed AP course
3. You Meet the College and Career Ready standard through the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) or GPA.

Students who meet the criteria above will not receive invoices for AP exams.
Driver's Education Opportunities
MVA forms can be signed by MRHS front office staff. The student must deliver it to the MVA in a sealed envelope. More information can be found on the MVA website- Learner's Permit - Pages (maryland.gov)
Students taking JumpStart release in the fall are expected to continue with JumpStart courses in the srping in order to maintain the JumpStart release.
