About: Howard EcoWorks is an environmental nonprofit based in Howard County, Maryland. We are addressing climate issues with environmental restoration, while providing career opportunities in the green industry. We are currently accepting applications for our 2026 summer workforce development program, READY.
READY Program: This program offers full-time, paid, seasonal positions to those ages 16 - 25 looking to start their environmental career. Participants engage in conservation efforts such as rain gardens, tree plantings, forest management, and stream restoration. Additionally, participants receive professional development opportunities through green industry exposure, networking, certifications, and career training.
