All Parents of students with disabilities were sent the Maryland Special Education Parent Involvement Survey. The purpose of this survey is to hear from parents about how well they think their child’s school is partnering with them and promoting parent involvement in their child’s education.  This information will provide valuable feedback for the HCPSS Department of Special Education.  The last day to complete the survey is  May 19. The survey can be accessed online: (https://www.mdparentsurvey.com) 

Families whose children are eligible for bus transportation must register through HCPSS Connect Synergy to receive bus service for the 2023-2024 school year. This new process will take place annually to help HCPSS plan for student ridership and to make routes more efficient. Registration for 2023-2024 bus service is open now through June 1.

Visit https://www.hcpss.org/schools/transportation/registration/ for instructions on how to register and more information. Families who reside in non-transportation areas are not eligible for bus transportation and do not need to take any action. Find the new non-transportation areas for your school online. Students who receive transportation as part of their Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan do not need to register.

The class is a registered 1-hour class and the Central Branch of HCLS will be offering 5 different times for families. Registration is easy but limited to 25 Kindergarteners! Families can visit the website hclibrary.org to register online or call us at the branch to register for them. For classes held at the Central Branch, registration for all sessions begins July 19th @ 10 AM. Get more details HERE.
