DUAL means you get high school credit and college credit.
This means you, as a high school student, may earn 3 college credits at HCC by taking the course.
You must follow the process to sign up for the college credit. The Jumpstart/Dual Enrollment office from Howard County Public School System will share information when enrollment begins. It is typically around a month after the class begins. The fees are waived by HCPSS for the college credit. A true bargain for a college course!
You never have to attend HCC, your transcript will be held there but you may take the credit to any college in the future.
There are NO ADDITIONAL assignments for students who are dually-enrolled, all work is incorporated into the courses.
