Atholton HS 1st Annual HBCU Week

January 29th - February 2nd 

 Want to learn more about attending a Historically Black College and University? Are you applying to a HBCU? January 29-Feb 2 will be a week focused on learning about HBCUs and applying to them. The 30th, 31st, and 1st we will be hosting on-site admission sessions with multiple HBCUs. All seniors are encouraged to consider applying to these colleges and signing up for their on-site sessions.

Register for these events in Naviance. You will receive a pass. See Mr. Henderson or Mr. Sturdivant if you'd like help with registering or if you have any questions. These events are open to ALL students and grade levels. Registration is REQUIRED.

HBCU PANEL DISCUSSION

Learn about attending an HBCU. Join us in the Auditorium to hear from alumni and HBCU grads about their HBCU experiences. Learn about why these speakers recommend attending a HBCU.

"I APPLIED" SOCIAL

Join peers, who also applied this week, in the cafeteria for a social with light snacks to reflect on the week, discuss your next steps, and hear about social life opportunities at an HBCU.

 ON-SITE ADMISSION

The following colleges are sending admission representatives to provide face-to-face interviews and on-the-spot admission decisions for Fall 2024. Most of the colleges require applications to be submitted prior to the on-site event. Detailed requirements can be on each college's sign up.

COLLEGE ACCEPTANCE HELP

Let's get those college applications completed!! Join us in the Student Services Career Center (F184) at the following dates/times to get support with completing your applications. We are also supporting students with their next steps after applying or receiving their acceptances. 

Registration is NOT required for these sessions.
