I am starting my 12th year teaching Physical Education. This is my 9th year at Battlefield Park Elementary. I am truly blessed to be working in a profession I love within a school that prides itself in a deep tradition of excellence in education.
I am starting my 12th year teaching Physical Education. This is my 9th year at Battlefield Park Elementary. I am truly blessed to be working in a profession I love within a school that prides itself in a deep tradition of excellence in education.
Professionally, I was named the first ever HCPS Innovator of the Year in 2018 & the Virginia AHPERD Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2022. I am actively involved in expanding our use of technology, innovation, and social media as a way to enhance our counties physical education program. In 2012, I received my BS in Kinesiology with a minor in coaching from James Madison University, all while also competing on the softball field for the Dukes.

My personal interests include spending time with my family, hunting, farming, & playing softball.

I'm looking forward to another great year at BPES! I have lots of exciting things planned this year and can't wait to share my passion for physical education with our amazing students!
