College and Career Center

Hanover County Public Schools

The Hanover County Public Schools’ College and Career Counseling Center allows families to explore career and educational options related to their postsecondary planning. Students may choose to pursue some type of further education (2 and 4 year college), a career (including apprenticeships and technical schools), or enlist in the military.

Each student's school counselor and career counselor are both available to assist in developing future plans based on student interests, skills, and aspirations. We hope HCPS families will find this site to be a valuable resource during high school.

SchooLinks

Beginning Fall 2024, HCPS middle and high school students will have access to a comprehensive college and career tool called SchooLinks. Students are able to complete academic and career plans, take a variety of assessments that help them to better understand their learning style, identify best fit careers (career clusters) and top skills, and work through short lessons to better understand their options after high school. Seniors will use SchooLinks to search for trade schools, colleges, and to request transcripts and teacher recommendations.
