Celebrating Space Exploration

Workshops Included:

• Portable Planetarium where students experienced the night sky to identify celestial objects.
• Living in Space where students learned about what it is like to live at the International Space Station.
• Paper Rockets where students created rockets, shot them off and then made modifications to their designs to reach their targets.
• Training Like an Astronaut class where students participated in relays to develop their balance, reflexes, and develop lung capacity.
• Rovers, using Legos, gear drives and transmissions students created their own unique Mars rover.
• GT specialist Miranda Harper spoke to parents about overexcitabilities in gifted students.
