Course Description:

The courses in this class will provide lessons and activities that will enhance the students’ academic and functional skills. The students will be focusing on reaching their goals with the use of these lessons and activities. The curriculum will also focus on daily living and independent living skills.

Tutoring Time:

Monday-Thursday 7:45am

Grading Policy:

Students will be graded based on participation, social skills, class assignments and exams.

· • Minimum of 12 Grades per Quarter

· • Major Grades = 25%

· • Minor Grades = 75%

· • Minimum of Two Test Grades per Quarter

· • Retest Policy: Mandatory if >25% of class fails

· • Optional single retest at teacher discretion

· • No minimum grade of 70 for retests (Grade Earned must be recorded)

· • Semester/Quarter Exams excluded from retest policy

Makeup/Late Work

· • Students may make up tests and turn in projects due to absence

· • Teachers may assign makeup work

· • Late Work Policy (uniform across contents)

**A scheduled snack break is given to students during the afternoon. Please feel free to provide their favorite snacks for your child or if you would like to donate some of the favorite snacks for the classroom! **

**I do keep an open line of communication with students and parents. I encourage all parents/guardians to please use my sign-up method for Class Dojo. Classroom discussions, activities and individual messages are used within Class Dojo App. Please see attached paper for QR code. **
