Algebra 2 Pre - AP
Pre - AP Algebra 2 is designed to optimize students' readiness for college ready mathematics classes. This course not only covers Algebra 2 topics traditionally, but extends the conceptual understanding of and procedural fluency with functions and data analysis that students developed in their previous mathematics courses. Students will broaden their knowledge of quadratic functions, exponential
functions, and systems of equations. Students will study logarithmic, square root, cubic, cube root,
absolute value, rational functions, and their related equations. Students will connect functions to
their inverses and associated equations and solutions in both mathematical and real-world
situations. In addition, students will extend their knowledge of data analysis and numeric and
algebraic methods. In Pre - AP Algebra 2, College Board resources will be used along with Carnegie Learning and guided notes from the teacher.
