Welcome

I would like to welcome you to Harlingen South. I am Coach Debra Galvan and I will be your chemistry teacher or soccer coach for the 2024-2025 school year. I look forward to having you as a student in my class this school year. This is my 18th year teaching and 15 years coaching. I am currently the Head Girls Soccer coach here at South. I am a south alumni and glad to be teaching/coaching back at my alma mater. 

Chemistry is a year long science course in which students will conduct laboratory invesigations, use scientific methods during investigations, and make informed decisions using critical thinking and scientific problem solving. 

Soccer is a year long course in which your daughter will be given the opportunity to grow in skill and teamwork learning about the sport. Players will dress out daily and be graded based on participation.
