Course Description:
The courses in this class will provide lessons and activities that will enhance the students’ academic and functional skills. The students will be focusing on reaching their goals with the use of these lessons and activities. The curriculum will also focus on daily living and independent living skills.
Rules & Consequences:
Rules:
1. Follow Directions.
2. No yelling or bad language.
3. Respect others and their property.
4. Keep hands and feet to yourself.
5. Use good manners.
6. Follow Power-Up and Power-Down
7. (cell phones will be put away)
Consequences:
1. Warning.
2. Loss of Privilege.
3. Phone call home.
4. Severe infractions will result in parent contact immediately.
Tutoring Time:
Monday-Thursday 7:50am- 4:20pm
Grading Policy:
Students will be graded based on participation, social skills, class assignments and exams.

HCISD Approved Tools: Microsoft Copilot, No Red Ink, Notebook LM, Magic School, Adobe Express, Curipod, Diffit, Gemini, Khanmigo, Snorkl.
Supply List:
· 1- bottle of hand sanitizer with pump
· 1- antibacterial wipes
· 1- pencil box
· 1-scissors
· 2- Kleenex tissue
· 1- Composition notebook/journal
· 1- 24 count color pencils
· 1-pack washable markers
· 1- box crayons
· 4- glue sticks
· 1-bottle of glue
** Wipes, pull-ups, and 1 set of extra clothes (pants or shorts, shirts, undergarments, and socks) if needed! **
**A scheduled snack break is given to students during the afternoon. Please feel free to provide their favorite snacks for your child or if you would like to donate some of the favorite snack for the classroom! **
**I do keep an open line of communication with students and parents. I encourage to please use my sign-up method for Class Dojo. Classroom discussions, activities and individual messages are sent used within Class Dojo App.
