Device (General)

Q: Can I purchase more than one PLD under PDLP?

Each student is only eligible to purchase one PLD under PDLP for the entire duration of high school. Please also note that you can only buy one PLD for the entire duration of college.

Q: Who is eligible for the free upgrade of the PLD?

The free upgrade of the PLD is only applicable to students who are purchasing the PLD bundle in 2024 for the HS section. The upgraded PLD is the Lenovo Thinkpad L13 Gen 4, which features the i5-1335U processor (as opposed to the Gen 3's i5-1235U).

For Sec 1 to Sec 4 students who wish to use their own devices, the device must meet the necessary specifications and compatibility with the school’s DMA. For JC 1 and JC 2 students, it is not compulsory for them to purchase the PLD but they could ride on the programme to purchase one.

Q: Can the school's IT applications be installed on MacBook?

A: Yes, applications such as Microsoft ProPlus can be installed on a MacBook.
