CHARACTERS

The directing staff will select 25-30 students to join the cast of The Prom. Rehearsals will begin April 28th, 2025. Please note that the roles of Dee Dee, Trent, Barry, and Angie are not listed as they have already been cast. If you have character questions, please email The Prom team at thepromHCFTA@gmail.com.

Emma Nolan (Vocal range G3-D5/Mezzo-Soprano) A teenager from Indiana whose prom was cancelled by the PTA because  she wanted to bring her girlfriend.

Alyssa Greene (Vocal range G#3/Ab3 - D5/Mezzo-Soprano) A popular but closeted cheerleader and the daughter of Mrs. Greene, the head of the PTA.

Shelby (Vocal range Ab4 - Bb5/Strong singer & dancer) A student at school who bullies Emma, but eventually learns to accept her.

Kaylee (Vocal range Ab4 - C5/Strong singer & dancer) A student at school who bullies Emma, but eventually learns to accept her.

Nick (Vocal range C3 - F4/Strong singer & dancer) A student at school who bullies Emma, but eventually learns to accept her.

Kevin (Vocal range D3 - G4/Strong singer & dancer) A student at school who bullies Emma, but eventually learns to accept her.

Ensemble (Various vocal ranges) The ensemble includes Olivia Keating, Party Attendees, Reporters, High School Students, PTA Members, Motel Clerk, Cast of the Non-Equity Tour of Godspell, Monster Truck Rally Audience, Mrs. Green’s Friends, and LGBTQIA+ Students.
