Your best place to start if you are a victim of a fraud is your state or commonwealth's Attorney General. The AG office is the advocate of the people and they are there to help.

IdentityTheft.gov is a resource for those who have been victims of identity theft. There are resources to help you through the recovery process.
Have I Been Pwned? (rhymes with "owned") is a free site allows you to enter your email address or phone number to search on known data breaches. This is a great reminder why it is a good practice to have a different username for every site.

The CFPB is a great resource for those looking to recover from identity theft as well as those looking to avid it. They have a lot of financial tools and information.
Stop. Think. Connect. is a national public awareness campaign aimed at increasing the understanding of cyber threats and empowering all Internet users to be safer and more secure online. Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility. When we all take simple steps to be safer online, it makes using the Internet a more secure experience for everyone.
AARP (yes it is for "old" people, but still has some great information) has a podcast, The Perfect Scam, co-hosted by Frank Abingnale that is both informative and entertaining.
They want to have you sign up and sell you an identity theft protection service. This is not an endorsement of their services or even a recommendation for you to purchase a service (although that is recommended for anyone who has had identity theft problems), so do your own research on that or any other service mentioned in this site.
