Requirements for 7th Grade Band:
Instrument
All Necessary Accessories (Reeds, Maintenance supplies, etc...)

3 Ring Binder with 10-15 plastic sheet protectors
Pencil
Grading:
Participation (Major): 40%
Students must be prepared with all parts of their instrument and band binder each day. Students must also attend and perform in all concerts.
Fall Concert: Monday, September 29th at 6:00 in the BMS gym
Winter Concert: Monday, December 15th at 6:45 in the BMS gym
Pre-LGPE Concert: Monday, March 2nd at 6:00 p.m. in the BMS gym
Spring Concert: Monday, May 18th at 7:00 p.m. in the BMS gym
Playing Tests (Minor): 25%
Students will record and submit playing tests on Canvas periodically.
Written Quizzes (Daily): 15%
We give written quizzes over the material we cover periodically.
Midterms/Final Exams: 20%
What We Will Be Doing This Year:
The 7th Grade Band will be divided into a Symphonic (2nd Period-Advanced) class and a Concert (3rd Period-Intermediate) class. Symphonic MAY BE combined with 8th Grade Symphonic, and the 7th Grade Concert Band will stand alone.
7th Grade students who showed satisfactory progress in 6th Grade will be allowed to participate in our Football Band and Jazz Band.
7th Grade students will also have the opportunity to audition for the District Honor Band if they choose. Click the link for more info!
