HCA Middle School Supply List for 2026-2027

Being organized in middle school is one of the keys to success.  Quality supplies that will last are ideal. Consumable items such as glue sticks, pencils, and pens will need to be replenished periodically. We suggest parents check in with their child at the beginning of each quarter to replace/replenish items needed for success in the classroom!  These links are good recommendations but you are welcome to find your own.

 Students will be required to fill out their Student Assignment Manager (SAM) daily for each core subject. Students will be taught how to use the SAM during the first week of school and parents will receive an email explaining the use of the SAM.

Each CORE subject will use the following colors if they need a spiral, divider, tab, or folder:

English - Orange

Math - Red

Bible - Yellow

Science - Green

History - Blue

Electives - Purple or black

7th Grade Core Subject Supplies:

Bible 7: ESV Bible (required, must be able to highlight in it), yellow folder with brads and pockets, yellow spiral (at least 70 pages), highlighters and colored pencils brought to class regularly

Math 7:  Red 1 subject notebook with pockets and at least 100 pages

History 7:  Blue 3 subject spiral notebook with flexible cover and pockets - at least 200 pages

8th Grade Core Subject Supplies

Algebra I: Red 3 subject spiral with pockets and at least 200 pages

Geography R/H – one Mead Five Star spiral wired college ruled notebook with pocket 100 lined sheet, spiral notebook, highlighters,  scissors, pen and pencil for daily use, package of glue sticks

World History R/H – one 3 ring binder, college ruled notebook paper, black pens

US History, Economics, Government – one 3 ring binder, college ruled notebook paper, black pens, white-out

Science:

Chemistry R/H – 1 inch 3 ring binder and a scientific calculator 

Physics R/H – protractor, clear ruler, 1” binder with notebook paper and dividers, Scientific calculator with sine, cosine, tangent buttons or other model with the same features (TI preferred)

Biology R/H – one Mead Five Star spiral notebook 3 subject with pocket page dividers, glue stick, colored pencils or markers, scissors, 1” 3-ring binder for handouts and no-bleed markers (Papermate Flair) or colored pencils. 

Anatomy & Physiology H – spiral notebook with pockets or a folder with pockets, colored pencils or markers,   1” 3-ring binder for handouts and no-bleed markers (Papermate Flair) or colored pencils. 

Foreign Language:

ASL 1 – notebook paper, pens, markers for classroom, package of glue sticks and package of note cards.

ASL 2 – three packages 100 count index cards, package of glue sticks, notebook paper, pens, markers
