About Me
I am graduate of Bad Axe High School (2021) and Ferris State University (2025) where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies Education. I started teaching at Harbor Beach in December of 2025 and am excited to start my first full year in the classroom.
My teaching style includes a lot of discussion about historical topics. I encourage students to add in their own thoughts during class whenever they can. We try to find ways to connect the past to the present, and learn how we can prepare ourselves for the future. I love to hear new perspectives from students and broaden my own world view while we are in class, and I encourage students to keep an open mind to others opinions and perspectives while in class.
Outside of the classroom, I spend my free time traveling, golfing, officiating sports (soccer, football, and hockey) playing hockey, and coaching baseball. I also love spending time with my family and our dog, Reno.

Classes
Economics:
A coursed dedicated to understanding how money works and affects our world. We cover micro and macro economics, and learn about how they affect our every day lives.
Civics:
A course dedicated to understanding our government systems and how we can contribute to the world around us. The course is designed to encourage civic understanding and participation.
U.S. History 8:
A survey course covering U.S. history from the Declaration of Indepence until the end of the Civil War.
U.S. History 10:
A survey course covering U.S. History from the Reconstruction period to the Modern Day.
