Summary Talking Points
California voters selected a non partisan redistricting commision under Prop 11. They took redistricting out of politicians hands to keep things fair. Now they want to take away that away from us.
When politicians draw the lines, they draw them for themselves not for us.
Pro 50 wastes millions of our tax dollars and silences local voices by lumping together communities that have nothing in common.
We already have a democratic supermajority in California, whose platform clearly does not align with Biblical values, AND has proven to pass laws that diametrically opposed biblical values. Not only will this potentially increase that supermajority - it really isn't about policy - it is about power grabbing politics.
PROPOSITION 11 OVERVIIEW
California Proposition 11, also known as the Voters FIRST Act, was approved by voters on November 4, 2008. This law transferred the power to draw electoral district boundaries for the State Assembly and State Senate from the California State Legislature to a newly created Citizens Redistricting Commission.

5 members from the second largest party (Republicans)
4 members from neither party
Selection Process:
Government auditors select 60 applicants.
Legislative leaders can reduce this pool.
Eight members are chosen by lottery, and these members select six additional members.
