Angela peterson student recognition Awardees

The Hermosa Beach Rotary Club honors two Hermosa Valley School (HVS) 8th Grade Students each month (October-May) during the school year. These HVS students are selected by their teachers to be awarded the Angela Peterson Student Recognition Award. Recipients are acknowledged for their academic, artistic, and community service achievements. 

As award recipients, the Students of the Month are invited with their families to a Hermosa Beach Rotary Club Luncheon, where they get to meet Rotarians and be celebrated for their achievements. At the end of the school year, two students are selected from these monthly honorees to be the HVS Students of the Year, which are announced at the Promotion Ceremony.
