We put the "Fun" in Fundraising!
Hailey Newman, Giuliana Gibilisco, Ashley Fardella, and Sophia Seabridge planned an event to raise money to donate to Practical Action, the organization that spearheaded the pumpkin farming movement in Bangladesh. They prepared a presentaion and requested a meeting with Mr. Albrizio to discuss the details of the project and obtain permission. Students donated $5 to come during study hall and paint pumpkins. The event was a huge success raising $100 to support the cause.
How do pumpkins grow best?
Some students chose to design experiments to find out what growing conditions worked best for pumpkin plants. Once their seeds germinated, they were replanted in the conditions they determined to be ideal based on their research.
