Meet Ms. Russo– Middle School Science Teacher
I’m thrilled to be returning to Middle School Science after many years in education! I’ve been teaching for over 15 years, beginning my career in middle school and spending the most recent part of my journey as a 4th grade teacher at Raritan Valley School in Hazlet.
My background is in Biology, with a concentration in Marine and Environmental Sciences—two areas I’ve always been deeply passionate about. Science was one of my favorite subjects growing up, and I love sharing that excitement and curiosity with my students.
Outside of school, I’m a proud mom to my daughter Gabriella, who will be turning 30 this year. She earned her doctorate in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and now works as a consultant in Manhattan while living in Brooklyn. She’s married to Paul, and together they recently welcomed an adorable mini-golden doodle named Poppy. At home, I share my days with my sweet 7-year-old golden retriever, Leia.
I’m looking forward to a year that is full of discovery, hands-on learning, and scientific adventures with my students
