Pfluger Falcon Choir
Only 4th and 5th graders can join after school choir. Choir students will meet in the music room after school on Tuesdays from 3:00 – 4:15 pm. Students do not audition to be in choir, they just need to submit the online form (below). I will send a recommendation form to their teacher. If a student receives consistently low scores on the recommendation form, they will not be allowed in choir. See below for Frequently Asked Questions.
Choir Expectations
1) Students must attend all rehearsals.
2) Choir students will follow the Pfluger promise “Pfluger Falcons soar with respect, responsibility and safety.”
3) Students must have a reliable way home after rehearsals and performances.
If a student cannot meet the expectations above, they will be given a strike.
After three strikes, the student will be excused from choir.

What time is choir? Every Tuesday from 3:00-4:15 pm
Will my child have an opportunity for an after school snack? Yes. Snack time is from 3:00-3:10. Please send a healthy snack and a drink (water is recommended). Students will then be allowed to go to the bathroom before we begin rehearsing at 3:15.
Do you have to audition to be in choir? No.
How are students chosen to participate in choir? I can only accept 60 students so I accept the first 60 students to submit a choir form that also have high marks on the teacher recommendation form. I will get the teacher recommendation forms if I have over 60 apply to choir.
Does it cost money to be in choir? No. I do sell choir t-shirts for $15 but it is not a requirement to have one.
How do I stay informed after my child is in choir? Join the Remind group by texting @peschoir to 81010 and like Pfluger Choir on Facebook. I will also send emails to the email you entered when you registered on Google forms.
How many performances will the Falcon Choir have? It changes every year but most years we sing at the school assembly on Veterans Day, we will sing at Budafest, we might have a winter concert in December, we will perform at Pfluger's Special Night, and we always sing at the Hays CISD Choral Festival competition in May.
