Carrie Jo Gros is a K-12 licensed art educator with a diverse educational background and professional experience in both art and theater education as well as communications. She specializes in fostering creativity and inclusive learning environments for students, particularly in the fields of visual arts and theater. 


Before working at Hayden, she taught K-8 art at Most Pure Heart of Mary. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (2005), Master of Science in Education (2021), and a Master of Arts in School Leadership from Benedictine College (2022).


Mrs Gros teaches Intro to Art, Drawing, Sculpture, Ceramics, Stagecraft, Acting, Graphic Design and Videography. 


During the summer Mrs. Gros presents to art educators across the state of Kansas, and leads Children's Art & Theater camps at Hayden as well as a children's Theater camp in Michigan. She is a member of the National Art Educators, and International Theater Educators Associations and is active with the Northport Arts Association in Michigan where she spends time during the summer. 


She and her family are members of Most Pure Heart of Mary parish. She enjoys volunteering with the Ballet Midwest stage crew, attending open studio drawing sessions, and working on home renovation projects in her free time.
