Classroom Updates

Halloween:

We will be celebrating Halloween October 31. We will be celebrating in two ways. We have an outdoor parade around the school (weather permitting) and a classroom party after the conclusion of the parade. When choosing a costume for your child to wear to school, please remember a few items: The student should be able to put on their costume over their clothing without adult help, the costume should not include scary elements, fake blood or weapons, the costume should not include a mask for safety reasons, and makeup application should be very minimal.

Update 9/15/22

Hello and happy Friday! Next week, 5th grade will be attending the PTO book fair on MONDAY (Schmitt) and TUESDAY (Ullrich). Students who have an eWallet can pick out their own books and bring them home the same day! eWallets also ensure your student will not lose their money. Stay on budget - students cannot exceed the amount of the eWallet. Unspent funds are saved to your Scholastic account. Students who do not have an eWallet can purchase books by completing and returning a wish list to school the following day with payment attached. Students may also bring cash to school. Click here to create an eWallet.

This week, we continued our Inventor's At Work Unit in ELA and our Expressions, Equations, and Volume unit in math. Students also got to engage in some STEM activities during science. Next week, we will continue onto the next module in all core units. Students will also be engaging with Mysabers testing. More information will be sent out about that next week. Have a great weekend!
