My name is Kathy Ford and I'm thrilled to welcome you and your child to MIDDLE SCHOOL!  I could not be more excited that I get to spend this time with your sixth grader; it will be a year of many firsts and a great deal of learning will be done!  I grew up in Oshkosh, WI and graduated from UW-Madison with a bachelors degree in teaching.  Later, I went back to school at National Louis University to earn my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. 

My goal as your child's teacher is to provide them with a positive and safe learning environment. I will emphasize that having a growth mindset (the belief that you are in control of your own ability, and can learn and improve) is the key to success.

When I'm not at school, I love spending time outside, whether it's working in my yard, going for a hike, or kayaking with my family and friends.  I also enjoy being crafty and creative as well as sitting down to a good book.  And let's be honest... watching TV!
