I signed up for this course because I wanted a intro to what the fab lab looks like in the Highschool.
I would like to learn how to learn how to properly design.
I have done woodshop and a little bit of coding. Also, I have enjoyed making things can be used/have an effect in nature.
I enjoy the making process more than the designing process.
My favorite designer is Pablo Picasso.
These are the first three sketch book drawings of this class. These drawings included a cover for our sketch book, a floor plan of the fab lab, and a bird's eye view of the school. The drawing for my sketch book was my favorite because I was able to be creative with my design.
This activity started out with us practicing a technique of drawing circles called ghosting. Then we moved on to using a different technique where we created boxes to draw our circle to increase our precision. Finally, we took our best design, drew it in a 4 in x 4 in square, and added more detail. Through this activity, I improved my circle drawing skills and creative design skills.
The task for the activity was to draw 16 types of the same letter with a different design for each, and to pick one to draw in more detail. I enjoyed how this activity challenged my creative ability and helped me learn how to develop more creative designs.
