Illinois Tech EcoCAR provides our students with an opportunity to gain industry & hands-on experience through the design and manufacturing of advanced automotive systems while engaging with and informing the community of E-mobility. We endeavor to stimulate the advancement of vehicle technologies and sustainable transportation through research and development while never losing sight of the needs of our stakeholders. 

In our second year of the competition, our primary focus shifts towards the successful implementation and testing of the vehicle and systems designed in the inaugural year. Building upon the groundwork laid in year one, our team is determined to bring our innovative concepts to life and validate their functionality.

Vehicle: The key objective for the second year is the realization of the vehicle and its systems designed in the first year. This involves not only the meticulous implementation of the CAV system's compute model and powertrain optimizations but also rigorous testing to ensure the intended energy-efficient practices are seamlessly integrated. Our goal is to witness our vehicle in action, pushing the boundaries of eco-friendly transportation.

Team: In our second year, we prioritize team bonding and equity in mobility education initiatives. Strengthening team connections and promoting awareness of mobility issues, we aim to create a cohesive and socially responsible team.

Competition: Our primary aim for year two is to exceed expectations by successfully implementing and testing the vehicle and systems we meticulously designed in year one. By completing all deliverables well before the due date, we aim to allocate sufficient time for comprehensive testing and refinement. This proactive approach ensures that our work not only meets the competition standards but also makes a lasting impact on both the competition and the community. At the end of the second year, we will conduct a thorough assessment to fine-tune our processes for future endeavors.
