We began to 3D print our designs
We began to cut down on size and weight
We added more functions to the design
Eventually, we got rid of the rack and pinion completely because there was a much simpler way of stopping the phone from sliding
Later on, the floor piece that was used to stop the phone from sliding was changed so that the only way to achieve an angle was by using the top portion of the design (similar to that of a reclining beach chair)
As we continued to print out designs, we continuously troubleshooted issues and tweaked finer details
We ended up opting for printing the parts separately since that would reduce the chances of printing errors, and also made switching parts easier
