Originally the design for the stand was meant to be a small collapsible stand that works similar to a canopy. This design proved to be difficult to make, with small components designing and fabricating a locking mechanisms is to complicated.

Our original design used a rack and pinion and an adjustable stand
The stand was not very portable, the design was too bulky, and it had a lot of unused space
