At our school we value the teaching of Māori language and traditions. Because of this we are supported by a Central Otago REAP representative, Whaea Mary-Anne. She works weekly with teachers and students to improve their use of the Māori language and understandings of all things Māori.
Our school kapa haka group is made up of a selection of committed Year 3-6's.
We practice every week and have a number of regular performances throughout the year.
Our yearly highlight is travelling down to Invercargill, participating in the Murihiku Polyfest and staying overnight at Murihiku Marae.
