I embarked on my writing journey mainly while currently pursuing my undergraduate degree at the University of Hawaii, a phase in life that is as enlightening as its stunning sunsets. The vibrant cultures and timeless beauty of the Pacific sparked a creative flame within me. Writing offered an avenue for self-exploration into both innermost thoughts and vast internal universes. Thanks to the university's rich academic environment coupled with diverse literary circles, it served well as a backdrop for discovering my passions. 

As I near the end of my college education, I find myself seeking more than just a polished set of business writing skills. Rather, my ambitions extend towards immersive life experiences that will broaden my perspective and amplify creativity. My objective for this final year is twofold: to refine established writing forms in a professional setting, while simultaneously mastering the craft of multi-faceted compositions across various genres. Through expanding both cognitive and creative horizons, I hope to build upon innovative works reflective of a multitude of experiences and themes - thereby preparing me not only for diverse career opportunities but also for furthering personal growth with adaptability among varying contexts. 

My passion for writing, combined with a deep interest in business, economy, and real estate motivates my aspiration to become a business writer at The New York Times. I owe this desire partly to the valuable courses on economics, finance, and journalism that I took throughout college; they equipped me well in critical analysis, research techniques, and effective communication. During my time in classrooms, I noticed my peers begin to wander off into a different world of existence while wishing they were anywhere else. This is because, let's be honest, business is pretty boring! My goal in writing is to find angles and viewpoints about important global issues within my subject matter and write about them in a way that has students eager to read more while wanting to embrace the topics presented. This combination of academic knowledge and practical experience has solidified my desire to contribute to one of the world's most respected newspapers, providing insightful analysis on business matters that influence society at large.
