With grants available to cover the full cost of tuition, this program is accessible and affordable. Through a partnership with the Hawaiʻi Department of Education (HIDOE), generous tuition stipends are available to support educators pursuing special education licensure at UHWO. These stipends make earning your licensure accessible and affordable, covering significant program costs:

SPED 490/492≅ $918
SPED PRAXIS, ≅$130
Tuition stipends are available for both pathways. Funding is limited on a yearly basis so those who are interested are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
