Noah Chee is a singer-songwriter and ukulele instrumentalist raised in Kihei, Hawaii. He writes and produces his own music in various genres including, but not limited to, island, reggae, rock, pop, R&B, and funk. He specializes in multiple musical instruments like the ukulele, guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums.
Noah's main inspiration came from his dad, Joseph Chee Jr. His grandparents bought him his first ukulele at the age of 8, and since then fell in love with creating music. Since then he added more and more instruments to his skillset, shaping him into the musician he is today. He started playing in his local church Hope Chapel in Kihei, Maui at age 8. In eighth grade he started and led a band by the name of "High Tide" which lasted throughout his high school career. Also part of high school, he was a four year member of the Maui High Chorus, which inspired him to take up singing.
After finally adding singing to his music background at the age of 17, Noah decided to start writing and producing original music. Drawing inspiration from Michael Jackson, Prince, and Bruno Mars, Noah follows the path of singer-songwriter like his heroes. Other notable Hawaii artist inspirations for Noah includes Maoli, Jake Shimabukuro, Kolohe Kai, Ka’au Crater Boys, and Willie K.
Noah gained the knowledge of the music industry through Honolulu Community College's Music & Entertainment Learning Experience (MELE) program with his focus on Music Business and Production. During his time at MELE, he was mentored under Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winning ukulele recording artist Abe Lagrimas Jr. and was a recipient of the Lamond GenNext Award scholarship to attend the 2024 NAMM Show. His experience opening up for legendary Hawaii local bands like Kapena and Natural Vibrations further shaped his journey as a musician. Whether it involves being a full time songwriter, performer, or businessman, Noah will always keep new projects in mind and never stop creating music.
