Instruction for Show Your Work Assignments
Show Your Work Assignments will be found on Laulima under the Assignments link. See course calendar on due dates.
You may print out the assignment and work each problem carefully. If you decide to do your work on separate sheets of paper, please start each problem on a separate sheet of paper and make sure that you put the problems in the correct order.
Your presentation of the solutions is part of the grading and assessment on SLO 5: Select and correctly utilize precise mathematical language and symbols to effectively communicate procedures and results. A friendly reminder: remember the difference between a vector and a scalar in writing.
To submit the assignment, you will first organize your homework file and then submit on Laulima using the Assignment link.
Prepare your homework file: You need to submit your homework in ONE Word document. Please make sure that all pages are in the correct order and orientation. There may be different ways to achieve this, the following are just some suggestions.
- Scan your homework into one Word document and make sure that the pages are in the correct order.
- Take pictures (using your phone or digital camera) of your homework, email yourself the pictures, then copy and paste the pictures into one Word document in the correct order and orientation. Please make sure that each picture is clear and focused for reading.
Name your homework file: Please name your homework using the following format and adjust accordingly for each module.
Your Last Name-First letter (capital) of your first name-Mod#
For example, if I need to turn in my Module 3 Show Your Work Assignment, I will name the file: Seffrood-J-Mod3.
Submit your homework on Laulima using the Assignment link. Homework will be due at 11:55 pm on the due date given on the course calendar.
It is each student’s responsibility to ensure that the work is clear enough for the instructor to read. No points will be awarded if the submitted document is not clear for viewing and/or handwriting is not readable. No points will be awarded to the portion of the submitted document that is not in the correct orientation. Basically, you should review your final document before submission.
