Learn more about Hawaiʻi Good Food Alliance, a diverse hui of individuals and organizations who share in the production, aggregation, and distribution of food, and share in the practice of mālama ʻāina to re-build thriving community food systems. We join together—with a sense of urgency—to raise community voice and support one another in the belief that each and every person in Hawai’i can share in healthy, locally produced food.
Kahauiki Village is a permanent housing solution for previous homeless families and senior citizens. Providing education, resources, sustainable living, and social services to connect and empower residents to their community. Located on Nimitz Highway, Kahauiki Village acts as a steppingstone for residents to reintroduce tenancy skills, build responsibility, and offer opportunities for residents of any age. IHS at the core of the village offers light case management, children and youth programs, and community collaboration to ensure residents are receiving the necessary skills and family engagement to thrive in our community.
We serve low income individuals and families in the statewide (mostly) Jewish community because we are a very small agency. We are happy to serve the community at large when caseloads permit. We serve mostly adults and isolated kupuna, and have a small staff of case managers and one LCSW. We are growing and it's an exciting time to work with JCS of Hawaii.
Serving over 40,000 patients from Hilo, Keaʻau, Pāhoa, Kaʻū, Kealakekua, Kailua-Kona and Waikoloa, we have 14 clinics across the island.
Career Opportunities
Improving Native Hawaiian Health and Well-Being
Founded in 1988, Papa Ola Lokahi is a 501(c)(3) that embodies the holistic approach that brings together mind, body and spirit in the pursuit of optimum health and well-being for Native Hawaiians.
Our Kūpuna (a dba of Hawai’i VA Foundation) is a non-profit program serving
low-income, homebound kupuna age 60 or older who are unable to access essentials such as groceries,
medication, and supplies - they lack support for obtaining the basic necessities to allow them to live in their homes
and age in place.
