About EMA

EMA was formed in 2015, and after a brief hiatus, the organization is back up and running for the 2025-2026 academic year and beyond! Current membership consists of graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa interested in ethnomusicology. All UHM students are welcome! If you are interested in joining EMA, please contact us.

Our organization works on planning workshops and events. If you are interested in learning an instrument, we highly recommend you check out the world music ensembles at UH Mānoa!
