Dr. Jeffrey Weldon Principle Investigator 

Dr. Jeffrey Weldon is an associate professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, where he has served since 2017. He previously held a faculty position at Carnegie Mellon University and earned his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from UC Berkeley. His research spans RF CMOS circuits, nanoscale devices, and biomedical applications, with work frequently cited in industry and academia. Dr. Weldon is also the principal investigator for workforce development in the $15.3M Northwest AI Hub, leading UH Mānoa’s efforts to train students in microelectronics design and fabrication under the national CHIPS Act initiative.
