Gordon Ho Masterʻs Student

Gordon Ho graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in the Electro-Physics track, in Spring 2025. He is receiving his Master’s degree as part of the Bachelor’s and Master’s (BAM) program at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa in Spring 2026. His research, conducted under an assistant professor, Daniel Drew, in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, focuses on developing a low-mass DC-to-DC voltage converter that steps up 5V to 5kV to power a drone using ion thrusters for lift. Gordon’s academic interests include circuits, electromagnetics, and renewable energy. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends and playing Cyberpunk 2077 and other video games.
