About Me

Hi! I'm Ces!.mp4

Hi! Kumusta? Grüezi! Hola!

Culinary

Before pursuing my love for language, I was immersed in the world of culinary arts. For over ten years, I worked as a Chef in different parts of the globe. In this world of hospitality and food, I was able to explore my creativity and hone my interpersonal skills. This experience granted me the good fortune of working with a diverse team of cooks, dishwashers, service crew and other numerous people from all walks of life. From them I learned the value of respect for other cultures and how language plays a big role in changing lives and bringing people together.

Travel

I get a lot of my inspiration for what I do from my travels. Travel gives me the opportunity to discover myself by stepping into unknown worlds of culture, food and language. It teaches me cultural sensitivity and openness to others. As a teacher, I would like my students to feel like they can be themselves and to know that no matter where they come from, they will always be treated with kindness and respect.

Here are some photos and a map of all the countries I've visited! Few down, many more to go!

“Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.”
