Leeward Community College strives to provide our instructors with classroom technology that invites engaging and effective teaching practices that support our diverse learners. This resource aims to spotlight technologies and provide deep dives into how they can be integrated into teaching to support learning. Each featured technology profile will provide you with detailed information intended to bring you on a learning journey from introductory basics to video examples of best practices and ideas for integration into your teaching.
This asynchronous web resource is provided as a learning guide, with a standard set of subheadings for each tool profile. Leeward Community College faculty and staff may review this reference material stand-alone and/or further enhance their learning by attending/scheduling an in-person hands-on orientation at our Educational Media Center or reserved classroom via this Technology Consultation Form.
Technology Enhanced Classrooms (pronounced as letters, T-E-Cs). TECs are specific classrooms that have been renovated with future-proof modular infrastructure and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance in mind. A technology profile that begins with the letters "TEC" indicates that a particular item can be found in a standard TEC room without any additional reservation or coordination necessary.
