2020-21
Nick Castillo is a senior at HHS and has been in chorus since his sophomore year. During his Junior Year he was the Secretary of Chorus, and this year he is the President! He has been singing since he was three years old and has always enjoyed performing. He will be going to Fitchburg State in the fall for Communications Media - Film/Video Production, but he will always remember his days here and will keep singing!
Chorus Vice President 2019-21
Maddie Hanson is a senior and has been participating in chorus for all 4 years of high school. She has served as the Chorus Vice President for 2 years. She will be traveling to New York City in the fall to study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater.
David has been in the honors choir for 3 years at HHS, and has been an occasional featured soloist. He has taken part in school musicals, as well as shows with the Glee Club, school Cabarets, and has sung the National Anthem at school events. Outside of school, David has done several musicals with community theatre groups and has been a featured singer at his church.
Elijah has been a member of the Haverhill High School Chorus since his freshman year and he is excited to finally be able to be back and perform live with everyone. He has participated in many choral events and it is his first year being a member of the HHS A Cappella group. Elijah is planning on going to Molloy College / CAP21 Musical Theatre Conservatory in the fall where he is pursuing a major in Theatre Arts and is potentially pursuing a minor in music! He is beyond grateful to have been presented with such an opportunity and he hopes you enjoy the works of the HillieHarmonies as much as he enjoyed working on them!
Dashawn’s time with the Haverhill High Chorus and A Cappella group was described as being a fun, new and eye opening experience. He first joined Chorus at the start of his junior year, always with an interest for music, he wanted to find new and exciting ways to express his love for the arts. He stated his biggest fear was joining this group of new faces that he wouldn’t typically go out of his way to surround himself with. Dashawn was soon quickly surprised by all the kind, smart, and talented individuals he was soon glad to call his peers. They allowed him to become more comfortable and open with singing in front of crowds, and overall, opened his eyes to explore a future in the art of music. Though it was only two years of his high school career, Dashawn says he wouldn’t replace any of the time he has spent with the group and wishes that it did not have to end.
Alayna Jones is a three-year member of The HHS Chorus and this year, she joined The HillieHarmonies. During her three years in chorus, she learned how to read sheet music and how to be a better singer.
Matt has been a member of the HHS Chorus for two of his high school years. Despite not being the greatest singer, he is still glad to perform great music, which is something he has always enjoyed doing. Matt will always remember his time in high school, especially the time he was involved with the chorus, drama club, and the whole fine arts department.
