Team ROLES:
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (1-2 Students)
Pre-Requisite: Must have been involved in AT LEAST 3 Drama Club productions.
ASSISTANT CHOREOGRAPHER (1-2 Students)
Pre-Requisite: Must have been involved in AT LEAST 3 Drama Club productions.
ASSISTANT MUSIC DIRECTOR (1-2 Students)
Pre-Requisite: Must have been involved in AT LEAST 3 Drama Club productions.
The Assistant Director, Choreographer, & Music Director will work closely with their corresponding Production Team member to support the production wherever needed. Responsibilities may include assisting with blocking, setting or teaching choreography, teaching music, and providing additional support within their respective areas. This year, these roles will also be responsible for working closely with the UNDERSTUDIES to ensure they are learning and maintaining their blocking, choreography, and music. Each of these positions will be required to attend EVERY rehearsal pertaining to their area, with the opportunity to attend any or all Production Meetings!
ASSISTANT PRODUCERS (2-3 Students)
Pre-Requisite: Must have been involved in AT LEAST 3 Drama Club production.
The Assistant Producers will work closely with the Director & Producer to support and oversee all Front of House aspects of the production. Their primary responsibility will be assisting with the design and development of the Show Program alongside the Student Board Marketing Chairs. They will also be responsible for coordinating and scheduling ushers for each performance and communicating this information with House Management. Assistant Producers will assist with setting up and maintaining the lobby during performances and help support the Student Board with fundraising efforts, including Ad Blitz and ticket sales at lunch. This role will work closely with the Production Team to ensure all Front of House responsibilities are organized, prepared, and running smoothly!
PRODUCTION ASSISTANTS (2-3 Students)
Serving as a Production Assistant is an excellent way to gain experience working on the other side of a production. This role offers students the opportunity to observe and learn from the Production Team before stepping into positions of greater responsibility and leadership. Production Assistants may help with anything from playing music during rehearsals and recording blocking to collaborating with the Production Team on various aspects of the production. While this role does not have a set list of responsibilities like other positions, students who've taken full advantage of this opportunity have gone on to become STELLAR leaders throughout Drama Club!
HOUSE MANAGER (1-2 Students)
The House Manager is responsible for overseeing all Front of House operations during the final stages of the production, working closely with the club Producer. This includes helping oversee the lobby, managing ushers, and ensuring that audiences are welcomed and cared for throughout each performance. Unlike most Production Team positions, the House Manager's responsibilities will begin with the Invited Dress Rehearsal and continue through all performances. This role is an excellent opportunity for students who want to take on a leadership position and gain experience managing the audience-facing aspects of a production!
FRONT OF HOUSE ASSOCIATES (1-2 Students)
The Front of House Associate will work closely with the House Manager to help ensure all Front of House operations run smoothly during the final stages of the production. This role will work with the Parent Volunteers to ensure all lobby duties are being managed appropriately, and will oversee in-person ticket sales for performances. Like the House Manager, the Front of House Associates responsibilities will begin with the Invited Dress Rehearsal and continue through all performances. If you’re interested in taking on more responsibility while still having room to learn and grow, this role provides hands-on experience in managing the audience-facing aspects of a production that can help prepare you for greater leadership roles in the future!
