How does this process work?
READ:
Important Dates & Policies- READ THIS doc to understand the commitment of the production, and ask me any questions you may have: Important Policies & Expectations
Note- ALL rehearsal information is detailed in the form above. The Audition Form requires a signature that you have read and understand these policies. If you cannot attend a performance, you cannot be in the show.
Character Breakdown- Brief description and vocal ranges are listed for all available roles. All roles are open to all actors. Check it out: SpongeBob Character Breakdown
PREPARE:
ONE Song Cutting
Choose any of the songs provided in the Music and Tracks folder.
If the character you're interested in does not have a song in the folder, pick the one most comfortable for your voice.
Look for the "Start" and "Stop" labels in the music. This is the portion of the song you sing for your audition. We don't need the whole song.
ONE Monologue
Read through the choices, and pick one that looks the most fun: Monologues
OPTIONAL- You will also see a folder with some fun scenes. These scenes will be used for callbacks, so you don't have to prepare them for your audition. Callbacks will be a separate time and you will be notified if we need to see you again.
All materials for auditions are available here: SpongeBob Audition Materials
SUBMIT:
Completed Audition Form & Conflict Calendar- Available here: THS Audition Form & Conflict Calendar
Audition Workshops - Extra help sessions where will go through audition materials, and you can ask questions!
Monday, October 6 from 3:30-4:30pm
Friday, October 10 during Office Hours
Saturday, October 18 from 9:30am -12:30pm
If we need to see people again, additional information, instructions, and a schedule will be emailed to folks who are called back.
If you are not on the "Callback" list, it doesn't mean you are not in the cast. It just means we saw everything we needed to in your audition!
Callback Materials will be the same songs as the general audition songs, aside from an additional duet for SpongeBob and Patrick if needed. The scene cuttings are available already, so feel free to take a peek.
