Welcome to Algebra I, Parts 1 and 2! I’m excited to be your teacher next year and to explore the fascinating world of Algebra with you. This course will be a fun and rewarding challenge as we dive deeper into mathematical concepts and problem-solving.
Algebra I, Parts 1 and 2 is an accelerated course designed for students who are eager to take on the extra challenge of learning Algebra at a faster pace. Success in this class comes from curiosity, persistence, and a willingness to seek help when something doesn’t click. Students who thrive in this course embrace the process of learning and enjoy the satisfaction that comes with solving complex problems.
I have high expectations—and I want to set you up for success in this class and in future Upper School math courses. To ensure you’re ready for what’s ahead, summer work is required. This work will reinforce your Pre-Algebra skills and give us a strong foundation to build on in the fall.
